Dates. So what is this odd fruit and why is it in so many products?
The Medjool date is a incredible fruit. It has a delicious taste, amazing nutritional value and useful properties. Dates
have been a food and healing source for thousands of years.
What is in a Medjool date? Nutrition and the healing properties of the Phoenix Dactylifera L. have been noted in folk
lore and present research has deemed that the date may be considered as an almost ideal food. It has high nutritional
properties and contain many vitamins. The list of vitamins are Vitamin A, Retinol, Beta Carotene, Vitamin K, Lutein,
Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Folic Acid, Pantothenic Acid, Choline. That is an impressive list, but there is still more.
Medjool dates contain minerals too such as, Calcium, Iron, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium, Zinc, Copper,
and Manganese. With all this in the great tasting date, it does seem like the perfect food.
Can the dates give you energy?
The energy that is derived from this date is from the large amounts of invert sugars that the Medjool date contain.
