- Plain meat is gluten free- Enjoy turkey, ham, chicken and brisket as long as it has not been marinated with gluten dressings. Watch gravies thicken with flour.
- Traditional mashed and sweet potatoes are often gluten free. Just check with the host and make sure no flour was used.
- Skip the cream soups, most have gluten. Go for the vegetable dishes, safe and good for you.
- Try offering to bring a fruit platter or veggie platter, most people enjoy this and it is gluten free.
- Make your own gluten free desert, cookies or brownies. This is a great way to introduce gluten free to friends and family. Most likely they will like them.
- If your meal is buffet style, serve yourself first, to avoid cross contamination.
- Speak with the host, offer to help and explain gluten free and cross contamination.
- Try and relax, enjoy your holidays.

Some New Years Tips For Gluten Free Eating.
As the holidays for now come to an end, this is the last time to deal with holiday eating. Gluten free eating has gotten easier over the past few years. Growing awareness means gluten free is no longer a complete unknown when you sit down at the holiday table. So as the New Year comes, here are some last tips to ensure you stay gluten free.
