So being super Tuesday, the fruit I picked is the blueberry.  It is one of the most popular fruits, and contains many vitamins and antioxidants.  So why is the blueberry a super fruit you ask.  I will list some of the benefits of this tiny blue fruit.

After  many years of research, studies have concluded there are many benefits of eating blueberries.
It has a positive effect on the nervous system, brain health and possible improved memory.  They are loaded with antioxidants, and are low on the Glycemic index. One cup of blueberries has 84 calories,  with vitamin K, manganese, vitamin C, fiber, and copper.

There are many types of blueberries and they are native to North America. They can be frozen and stored in freezer to use at any time.  They can be eaten alone or put into any food.  When ripped they are sweet and delicious.

The antioxidants in blueberries help in defenses of  body systems that need special protection from stress, like the cardiovascular system. Of the newer studies it has been proven to help in the area of cognitive benefits.  There has also been studies in people with Type 2 diabetes.  It has been shown to have a favorable impact in blood sugars.

These are just a few benefits of this super fruit.  So go out and get some today.
