Today I will talk about the benefits of the banana. A popular fruit that is usually found in every household.
Yummy and yellow, makes a great snack, and is used in many smoothies and recipes. The banana has many
health benefits, and yes as a fruit, it is gluten free.
1. They are great for energy. Bananas supply proper carbohydrates necessary to replace the muscle glycogen
(sugar) used.
2. They are high in potassium, bananas help the body's circulatory system deliver oxygen to the brain, helping
maintain regular heart beat and proper water balance.
3. Bananas contain vitamin B6, which regulates blood glucose levels and helps us in times of stress.
4. They are high in soluble fiber which helps stop constipation and helps to restore and maintain regular
bowel function.
5. Bananas contain tryptophan which is converted to serotonin in the brain making us feel happy. :)
6. Bananas are high in iron and contain many B vitamins and other minerals.
They are used in many foods such as pies, cakes and breads. So eat a banana today!!
