Lets Talk Buckwheat

Having Celiac you must stay away from wheat, many people often ask is buckwheat gluten free?
With wheat in its name, it is understandable that people get confused about buckwheat.
The fact is, buckwheat is naturally gluten free and can be safely eaten and enjoyed by anyone
with Celiac disease and gluten sensitivity.

Buckwheat is a grain that is not related to wheat at all.  This ancient food is in the same family
as rhubarb and sorrel.  It is so versatile, you can eat it in various forms for breakfast, lunch and
dinner.  It is a tasty alternative to rice.

Buckwheat flour can be used alone or as part of a gluten free flour blend.  It is loaded with
protein, fiber, and nutrients.  It is a great way to start your day.  Many people use it for gluten
free pancakes.

Buckwheat is a high quality, protein rich food, and considered a super food.  Its amino acid
profile is similar to animal protein, making it one of the highest quality sources of protein in
the plant world.  It is rich in iron, vitamin B6, fiber and magnesium.

So I hope this answers any question whether buckwheat is gluten free and safe to eat.  I hope
you start using it in every day recipes, for pancakes, bread, cookies and so on.  It will make
your food taste good and add many health benefits.
