Celiac Disease Healthy Eating Tips Day 1 Of 2
Eating gluten free is easy, however you need to
make sure you are eating healthy. It is important
to avoid any deficiencies. Here are some tips to
help with a healthy gluten free lifestyle.
1. It is important to get enough B-vitamins
(thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and folate), iron and
fiber.
2. Choose enriched, gluten free products instead
of refined, whenever possible. There are many
companies that produce these products.
3. Choose whole grain, gluten free products. Look
for products containing whole grain corn, whole grain
rice, millet, teff, or sorghum.
4. All plant foods, fruits, vegetables, legumes, seeds and
nuts, are good sources of fiber.
