Last Day Gluten Free Living

Dietary fiber is an important part of the diet.
It is often lacking in a gluten free diet.  Fiber
helps to maintain normal bowel movements and
has also shown to be beneficial in the
prevention of chronic diseases such as certain
types of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.

Most adults should consume approximately 30
grams of fiber daily.  Children should consume
approximately 20-25 grams of fiber daily.
Some tips to increase fiber:
-Read food labels
-Start the day with a whole grain gluten free
cereal.
-When you can eat vegetables, raw is best.
-Eat skin of fruits and vegetables
-Add beans to soups, stews, and salad
-Eat dried fruit when possible
