3 Mistakes Made When Going Gluten Free
Living a gluten free life is becoming more
popular even for people who do not have
Celiac disease. Keep in mind there is a
difference between having to go gluten free
and wanting to go gluten free.
Here are a few mistakes made by most after
going gluten free.
1. Assuming the gluten free foods are healthier.
Many gluten free foods are actually more processed
and higher in sugar and fat. So always look at the
label.
2. Not reading the ingredients. Yes you are buying
expensive gluten free bread and pasta, but you
are not aware of gluten in many products. They
tend to pop up in surprising places, like soy sauce
and candy.
3. Missing vitamins and nutrients. When you go
gluten free, try to eat more fruits, vegetables and
lean meats that are naturally gluten free. Try and
buy whole grain when possible, to ensure you are
getting proper vitamins and nutrients.
