Autoimmune Diseases

Autoimmune disease disorders are common in
women.  This is because their immune system
is more refined than men's.

An autoimmune disorder is a disease in which the
body's immune system attacks healthy cells.  If
you have an autoimmune disease, your immune
system attacks the healthy cells by mistake.

There are many underlying factors that cause
people to develop an autoimmune disease, like
genetics and environment.  No one knows for
sure the cause of the diseases.  There can be
two siblings with the gene, however only one
gets the autoimmune disease.

If you are the type of person who usually has
abdominal pain, dry skin, feels tired, look
for an autoimmune disease.  There are many
and blood work can help.  There are treatments
for all, whether it's diet or medications.

It important to see your doctor regularly, have
blood work done, and just know your body.
You know if you feel something is wrong.
