Day 1 Beware Of Health Claims


Every day we are inundated with so many
nutrition messages.  Some are accurate and
others couldn't be further from the truth.
Beware of anything that sounds too good to
be true.  Beware of any quick fixes.  Here
are a few buyer beware  health claims.



Natural is Better

There is very little regulation on the use of
the word "natural" and many of these foods
deliver lots of calories.  The FDA has not
developed a definition for use of the term
natural or its derivatives.

Never Eat After 6 p.m.

It makes no difference what time you eat as
long as you don't eat too much that it keeps
you awake.  Your body's digestion and
metabolism relies on the foods you eat in
a 24 hour time period balanced with the
amount of calories your body burns for
activities.
