Celiac disease is an autoimmune condition which
involves an immune reaction to the gluten protein,
found I wheat, rye and barley products. This immune
reaction results in the inflammation of the small
intestine, which can result in digestive issues and
problems such as anemia, gas, bloating and diarrhea.
Symptoms are often revolved around digestive issues.
The only treatment at this time is a strict gluten
free diet.
